Lettres Correspondants
This year the Year 7 classes are writing Pen Pal letters anonymously between each class. Each student has been given a number to replace their name in their letters, and have a corresponding number to write to from the other class. Eventually the students will be given the opportunity to guess (in a written text) who their Pen Pal is from the information given.
This term the students are writing two letters, the first introducing themselves using basic personal sentences they will have learned during their French lessons since Junior Primary. The second letter focuses on things they like.
Each letter needs to have specific features, including the features of a letter (addressed correctly, open, body, close), correct pronouns and showing some understanding of basic present tense verb conjugation.

Upper Years
Terms 1 & 2, 2018
To start this year the Upper Years classes will be investigating a range of French culture topics and presenting them to their peers.
The students have expressed a desire to find out about France, its history and its traditions as compared with Australia. They will be using Google docs and Google classroom as a recording medium, allowing them to add to their findings easily and contact me for help outside of their lessons, should they wish.
